Key Takeaways: Where to Watch the Santa Clauses
- Season two of ‘The Santa Clauses’ series, starring Tim Allen, starts Wednesday, November 8 on Disney Plus, with a new episode each week until December 6.
- The three ‘The Santa Clause’ movies are also available on Disney Plus.
- If you’re in a restrictive country or the series isn’t available on your local Disney+ library, you can use a VPN to watch it. We recommend ExpressVPN, NordVPN and Proton VPN.
Tim Allen is back with another season of ‘The Santa Clauses’ on Disney Plus this November, bringing some Christmas cheer just in time for the holidays. Whether you’re new to the series or you’ve been waiting for season two to arrive, this guide will show you how and where to watch ‘The Santa Clauses’ online from anywhere in the world.
‘The Santa Clauses’ series is set after the ‘The Santa Clause’ movies and sees Scott Calvin (Tim Allen) looking for a suitable replacement Santa.
Disney Plus is available in many countries now, but there are a few locations where it’s still unavailable, and some Disney Plus libraries have slightly different content. If you’re in a country where it’s not available, such as a restrictive country like China, you won’t be able to access Disney Plus. Likewise, if ‘The Santa Clauses’ has skipped your local Disney+ library, geoblocks will prevent you from watching it.
You can bypass such blocks by using a virtual private network (VPN). ExpressVPN is our top VPN recommendation and we’ll show you how to use it below.
How to Watch The Santa Clauses Miniseries on Christmas Eve
The first season, released in 2022, was briefly available on cable. Disney released the first two episodes on Freeform, ABC, FX and the Disney Channel after the series had concluded on Disney+ in December. This was to entice people to sign up for Disney Plus so they could watch the rest of the series.
We don’t have any solid information on Disney doing the same for season two and it’s unlikely since the series will already have a following.
Which Streaming Services Have The Santa Clauses?
Season two of ‘The Santa Clauses’ premieres on Wednesday, November 8 on Disney Plus with the first two episodes. New episodes will be available to stream weekly through to Wednesday, December 6.
‘The Santa Clauses’ season two begins on November 8 on Disney Plus.
Since ‘The Santa Clauses’ is owned and created by Disney, it’s understandable that Disney Plus is the only streaming service that you can watch it on.
You can also watch all three ‘The Santa Clause’ movies, starring Tim Allen, on Disney Plus: ‘The Santa Clause’ (1994), ‘The Santa Clause 2’ (2002) and ‘The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause’ (2006).
All of ‘The Santa Clause’ films are available to stream on Disney Plus.
Disney Plus is available in more than 150 countries in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. Disney plans to grow its coverage, but if it’s not currently available in your location, you can use a VPN to access it.
While ‘The Santa Clauses’ series is not available to rent or buy on other services, you can rent or buy all three ‘The Santa Clause’ movies on services like Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, Apple TV, Vudu and YouTube.
Is The Santa Clauses on Netflix?
No, ‘The Santa Clauses’ is not available on Netflix because it is a Disney Plus exclusive. The same goes for the three ‘The Santa Clause’ movies, they’re all on Disney Plus.
Of course, if you already have a Netflix account, the platform has a ton of other movies available for the holiday season, but they might not be in your local library. For instance, ‘The Grinch’ (2018) is available on Netflix in the U.K. and France. ‘The Polar Express’ and ‘Christmas With the Kranks’ (which also stars Tim Allen) are both available on Netflix Australia.
How to Unblock Netflix U.S. & Other Libraries
If you want to watch Christmas movies or other content on Netflix but it’s not available in your local library, you can easily get access with the help of a VPN. All you have to do is connect to a VPN server in the country where the show or movie is available and you’ll be able to watch it. The VPN connection makes you look like you’re physically in the country.
How to Watch The Santa Clauses Online With a VPN
In this section, we’ll show you how to access Disney Plus from a country that Disney+ doesn’t cover, or where ‘The Santa Clauses’ isn’t available in the local library. If you’re connecting from a country with strict censorship, it’s important to ensure you’re backed by strong security and privacy. We’ve used ExpressVPN for this how-to, which will grant you access and help keep you protected wherever you are.
- Sign up for ExpressVPN
Go to the ExpressVPN website and choose one of its plans. Each plan is covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee and the annual plan works out the cheapest in the long run.
- Install the ExpressVPN App
Download the ExpressVPN software and install the app on your device. Then, open the app and log in to your account.
- Connect to a Server
Connect to a server in a country that has ‘The Santa Clauses’ on Disney Plus, such as the U.S. ExpressVPN’s full server list can be accessed by clicking the three dots by the country name. Click on a server to connect to it, but if it doesn’t make a connection, click the big “on” button.
- Go to Disney Plus
Go to the Disney Plus website and log in to your account, or sign up if you don’t have one.
- Start Streaming ‘The Santa Clauses’
Search for ‘The Santa Clauses’ and start streaming season two (or season one if you haven’t watched it yet).
The Best VPNs to Stream The Santa Clauses Starring Tim Allen
Whether you need top security because you’re in a restrictive country, or ‘The Santa Clauses’ simply isn’t in your local Disney+ library, the following VPNs have exactly what you need: top speeds, plenty of servers and the ability to unblock Disney Plus from anywhere in the world.
1. ExpressVPN
ExpressVPN is fast and can unblock popular streaming services.
Pros:
- Fast streaming speeds
- Can unblock Disney+
- Strong security & privacy
If you’re a regular reader at Cloudwards, you’ll know that ExpressVPN is usually at the top of our VPN roundups. The simple reason is that it does everything you need it to without fail. You can unblock Disney Plus easily — as well as other platforms like Netflix — and its speeds are fast enough to provide a smooth streaming experience.
On top of that, ExpressVPN has servers in more than 100 countries, providing you access to many Disney Plus locations, all while ensuring you stay protected with its strong security. All of ExpressVPN’s servers provide obfuscation, which masks the fact that you’re using a VPN.
Its apps are easy to use and available for most devices too. The only downside is the price. It’s an expensive service, but worth every cent. Try it for yourself with the 30-day money-back guarantee or read our ExpressVPN review for more.
ExpressVPN Plans
2. NordVPN
NordVPN has the fastest average speeds and an affordable plan.
Pros:
- Cheap long-term plans
- Fastest average speeds
- Unblocks streaming apps
Cons:
- Obfuscation only on certain servers
- Mobile map interface is cramped
NordVPN is another highly recommended VPN that offers a more affordable deal than ExpressVPN. You need to sign up for two years to get that deal, but NordVPN has a 30-day money-back guarantee in case you change your mind.
It can easily unblock streaming platforms and has the fastest VPN speeds on average. You get access to servers in 60 countries, plus, NordVPN has top-notch security. That said, in order to utilize its obfuscation feature, you need to turn it on and pick a specific server. You can read more about that in our NordVPN review.
NordVPN is available on most devices and includes an easy-to-use app that comes with an interactive server map. Keep in mind, though, that the mobile version can feel a little claustrophobic and you might lose where you are.
3. Proton VPN
Proton VPN offers three free server locations and unlimited data.
Pros:
- Free unlimited plan
- Secure servers
- Unblock streaming apps
Cons:
- Paid version is expensive
- Only 3 free server locations
Proton VPN is another great service that will allow you to access Disney Plus, and it even includes a free plan. Granted, that won’t allow you to watch Disney Plus for free, but it will certainly keep costs down. The free version allows access to three server locations, the U.S., Japan and the Netherlands, all of which have Disney Plus.
Additionally, the free plan includes unlimited data, meaning you can stream as much as you like without hitting a limit. Proton VPN’s speeds are decent, although you should keep in mind that slow-downs can happen due to the number of users.
It’s easy to use and secure, and if you decide to try the paid version, just know that NordVPN is a cheaper option. There is a 30-day money-back guarantee to fall back on, though. Read our Proton VPN review for more information.
The Santa Clauses Cast, Characters & Plot (No Spoilers)
‘The Santa Clauses’ series is a follow-on from the three ‘The Santa Clause’ movies. It all begins with Scott Calvin (Tim Allen) after he accidentally played a part in Santa Claus falling off his roof on Christmas Eve. Scott is then recruited as a replacement for Santa, much to the delight of his son Charlie (Eric Lloyd).
Scott has the biggest job in the world, but he can’t be Santa forever, leading him to try and find a suitable replacement Santa. Charlie is all grown up with his own family, and Scott has two more kids, Cal and Sandra, but it doesn’t mean any of them are ready for a life under the Santa Clause.
Season two sees Scott still trying to find a successor, but he and his family are soon on a new adventure as they try to save Christmas from an ancient Santa who’s come back to reclaim the title.
The series not only sees Tim Allen reprise his role as Scott Calvin, but also Elizabeth Mitchell as Mrs. Claus. We also briefly see Scott’s now grown-up son Charlie played by Eric Lloyd and head Elf Bernard played by David Krumholtz. Here is the cast list for ‘The Santa Clauses.’

Final Thoughts
If you’re looking to stream a family-friendly show in the run-up to the holidays, ‘The Santa Clauses’ is definitely one to consider. It has all the Christmas charm of the original films and we get to follow the life of Scott Calvin and his family as his time as Santa comes to a close.
Disney Plus is the place to be for this series, and although that means you’ll need to pay, you can watch a ton of other great content there too, such as Star Wars, Disney-Pixar animations and much more. If you can access the service due to your location, a VPN can help. We suggest giving ExpressVPN a try.
What’s your favorite ‘The Santa Clause’ movie? Will you need a VPN to stream the series? If so, which VPN will you use? Could you be Santa forever? Let us know in the comment section and, as always, thank you for reading.
